Milton Lee Hoodjer, 74

Milton Lee Hoodjer, 74, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his home under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2023, at Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Allison is caring for Milt and his family.

Milton “Milt” Hoodjer was born September 16, 1949, to Carl L. “Cub” and Gladys (Hinders) Hoodjer.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville.  Milt graduated from Clarksville High School, class of 1967.

On October 25, 1982, he was united in marriage to Roxann Schoneman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.  To this union, one daughter was born: Barbara.

Milt worked many jobs including the sawmill and for Gerald Krull Plumbing.  He then worked for Chris Hoodjer until taking over Hoodjer Excavating with his brother, Bob, until his retirement. 

Milt enjoyed fishing and turkey hunting, as well as car rides and walks in the woods.  He also enjoyed woodworking.

Milt is survived by his wife Roxann Hoodjer; daughter Barbara Hoodjer; siblings Carl R. “Bob” (Cindy) Hoodjer, Rita Price, Bruce (Cindi) Hoodjer, Gloria Hoodjer, Peggy Hoodjer, Brian Hoodjer and Sheila Hoodjer; brother-in-law Tim Wedeking; sister-in-law Rita (Dallas) Kluiter; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan Wedeking and in-laws Russell and Burdella Schoneman.
