Methodical North Butler team back in regional final

GREENE – A deliberate, balanced effort earned North Butler its return trip to the Class 2A regional girls basketball final.

The seventh-ranked Bearcats slowed things down against Sumner-Fredericksburg to earn a 42-32 victory against the Cougars on Friday, Feb. 21 at Greene.

“That was the thing we focused on in the last couple of practices,” North Butler senior guard Lisa Feldman said. “We said we had to slow it down, make sure we take care of the ball, make good passes and eventually find an open girl to score.”
