Patti Hagen is a familiar face at North-Butler elementary, due to the fact that she has spent 21 years of her life teaching there.  She started out as an associate, which she feels gave her some good experience and helped prepare her for her teaching career.
Growing up, Hagen always wanted to be a teacher, and her mother persuaded her to pursue her dream.
After high school, Hagen attended Ellsworth College for two years to earn her AA degree, then went on to UNI for her BA in elementary/early childhood education.  Several years ago, she went back to school, this time to Buena Vista, to get her reading endorsement.
