People like Lucille Eckhoff.

She has taken 94 years of life in stride.

She’s independent and considerate.

“It’s your life, you can do what you want,”she says. “Sometimes if they [six children] want me to do something, I listen to it. But then when they’re gone, I do what I want to.”

She’s come full circle to see her six kids become parents and grandparents.

For Christmas, she hosted 11 of her 13 grandchildren for the annual breakfast in Allison. A total of 42 family members showed up.

And three days prior to that, 20 of her clan celebrated her 94th birthday.
