At last: Weather cooperates at Bearcats’ home meet

GREENE – As high school golfers start working toward the post-season this week, North Butler’s golf teams got in a round in which the weather finally cooperated.

The result was a second-place finish for the Bearcats’ boys squad in a quadrangular and the girls’ team winning simply by having enough players.

“It was pretty nice, it’s a lot better than it was the last few days,” said junior golfer Ramsey Kock, who had the low score for North Butler at 46. “The wind last night was not ideal, but today was good. They (the greens) were in pretty good shape, but I wasn’t putting very well today..."
