John Hippen, Jr., age 74, of Aplington, Iowa, died December 23, 2014, at Grand Ji Vanté in Ackley, Iowa.

John was born the son of John Sr. and Irene (Ostendorf) Hippen, on November 19, 1940, in Butler County, near Aplington...

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2015, at the Bethel Reformed Church, with Pastor Scott Summers officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery rural, Aplington, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Chapel in Aplington, (319)347-6275, and one hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
