CLARKSVILLE – It’s plain to see the Clarksville boys’ basketball teams of old do not apply to the 2018-19 edition of the Indians.
Former player and coach Jordan Myers, in his first season as head coach of Clarksville, knows this team is different despite the 63-53 setback against Dunkerton on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
“We’ve been a talking a lot about these guys,” Myers said. “They’ve got the potential to be a special team for Clarksville. They should be the first team to really turn things around for us a little bit. I think we saw that tonight.
“Three-four years ago, you’d have seen these guys give up after being down by 20 in the first half, but they fought back and kept grinding. Most important part about tonight is they stuck with our plan. They didn’t panic because they were down. That is a sign to me that we’re finally starting to turn the corner.”
The full story appears in the Dec. 27 print edition of the Clarksville Star.
