HAMPTON – Leading 10-1 in the opening set against Iowa Star North volleyball opponent GMG, Clarksville looked like it would cruise in the opener and have a battle against the visiting Wolverines.
However, the Indians showed the same tendencies to tipping instead of attacking the ball as it did only a few days before, lost the lead, and momentum and eventually was swept at home on Monday, Oct. 5, 26-24, 25-7, 25-20.
“We do too much (tipping),” Clarksville coach Heather Petersen said. “I told them after the first game (we were) because we were up 10-1 and they came back.”
More on this story will be found in the Oct. 15 print edition of the Clarksville Star.
