CLARKSVILLE – Unlike the previous two games Clarksville met Riceville in a boys’ basketball contest, the Indians were unable to hit their shots.
The result was a 60-35 loss to finish 2-1 against the Wildcats this season.
As he was also talking about how his girls’, Clarksville head coach Ross Timmermans said the same thing about the boys’ team.
“That’s what they say, that it’s tough to beat a team three times,” he said, “the boys, just sometimes during a long season, you just have bad games. That was tonight for us: we played really bad basketball. We couldn’t put the ball in the hole, had too many turnovers, had foul trouble from guys who normally aren’t in foul trouble. Kind of playing lackluster basketball.”'
The full story appears in the Jan. 25 print edition of the Clarksville Star.
