It’s time for a celebration of music at Peace Lutheran Church in Shell Rock, as the church recently purchased an organ to replace their old one, which was no longer meeting the needs of the congregation.
The church invites the public to a dedicatory hymn festival on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. Following the festival, refreshments will be served and there will be a time of fellowship.
Pastor Michael Knox will provide the commentary, introducing each hymn. Vicar Nathan Wille SPC will serve as organist, and Jennifer Thornton will serve as vocalist.
The hymn festival will tell the story of Christ in song, with selections celebrating the advent, birth of Christ, life and resurrection.
