Huskies defeat North Butler 46-13

GREENE – North Butler couldn’t have had a better opponent.

On a night when the Bearcats honored former coach Dave Sturm with a dedication to the man’s legacy with ceremonies pronouncing the football field “Dave Sturm Memorial Field,” former old rivals Nashua-Plainfield had ideas of playing the spoiler.

The Huskies put a damper on the celebration, which included introduction of Sturm’s family before the game, his son Dave Sturm serving as honorary captain and former players introduced at halftime, with a 46-13 victory over North Butler on Friday night.
