Housing rehab projects move forward

At the Clarksville council meeting Monday evening, housing rehab, the emerald ash borer, a tractor for the cemetery, relocation of city hall and Jendro Sanitation rates were discussed.
     Bids were approved for the next three houses in the housing rehab project on Jefferson, Traer and Main St. The low bid, approved in each case, was C&R Construction out of Central City.
     Cindy Knox of INRCOG said that C&R Construction has worked with INRCOG for longer than she has been employed there, and they are great to work with—always getting projects done quickly.
     Knox also mentioned that there is still extra funding in the housing rehabilitation program, should anyone on the city’s original list be interested.
