Hometown entrepreneurs: Moyer Mowing

“If you’re cold, you’re not working hard enough,” is Joseph Moyer’s motto as he does snow removal work each winter on anything and everything from residential sidewalks to commercial lots.
     “You name it; I do it,” said Moyer.
     He also offers mowing, tree trimming, dump trailer, shrub trimming and landscape maintenance service during the warmer months as part of his Moyer Mowing businesses—and holds down a part-time job on the side.
     His brother and a buddy plow with him as they take on the snow throughout Butler and Bremer counties with snow blowers, three pickup trucks with blades and old fashioned shovels.
