Highway 188 maintenance

Hired by the state, Mid-Continent Contracting of Mason City had a crew of 33 people cleaning and filling in cracks on Iowa Highway 188 Friday.
Starting at the north end of Main Street, the group worked their way down to Highway 3, before going east to Waverly.
With a few people cleaning out splits in the asphalt, others replace it with a compressible tar-like substance.
