Hempens voted in for Coleman award at Clarksville Lions Club

  Clarksville businesspeople Jeff and Renae Hempen, who have conducted eye screenings for local children since 2009 through Iowa KidSight, were awarded Monday, Feb. 9 at the Clarksville Lions Club meeting.
  They received the Warren Coleman Honorary award, for individuals who are dedicated to community service. The club donates $1,000 to the Iowa Lions Foundation and decides on whom to bestow the award.
  It is one of the highest awards given by the Lions Club of Iowa, said Bill Tjaden, secretary for the Clarksville chapter.
