The North Butler School Board tentatively approved one of three bidders to buy the former Greene Elementary, when it met on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at North Butler High School in Greene. A public hearing will be Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Bidders were the city of Greene, represented by Mayor Bill Christensen, which bid $1 and had taken measures to set up a phase one environmental audit with the Department of Natural Resources; a group of Troy Feldman, Brad Rottler and Mike Martzahn, who bid $21,000 with no contingencies, Feldman said; and Paul Rover and Andrea Gotto, who bid $5, Foster said.
Superintendent Joel Foster announced the city bid on the elementary building at a winter board meeting.
