The fifth annual Harvest Moon Festival was celebrated on October 7 at Wilder Park in Allison.
Festivities began with a delicious Lions’ omelet breakfast, served to a full house of 140 throughout the morning.
In spite of rain, nearly 20 die-hard runners forged on through the mud to complete the 5K. Tanner Arges finished in first place overall. Second place for men was won by James Davies and third place went to David Ersland. Barbara Graeser was the first woman, followed by Makaela Hoffman and Molly Elliott.
The Harvest Moon 5K is an annual fundraiser for the Lions’ Club, in its second year. Lion Greg Graser said all the funds raised go back into the Allison community.
