ALLISON – It didn’t take long for Hampton-Dumont’s baseball team to assert itself over North Butler.

The Bulldogs, 18-11 to end the regular season, jumped on freshman pitcher Tyler Merfeld for six runs in the second inning and by the time it was over had sent in several different players to ease up on the Bearcats (8-13).

H-D combined for 13 hits among all 13 hitters coach Matt Lokenvitz sent to the plate.
