Local kids enjoyed a Halloween Carnival held the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 28 at North Butler High School in Greene. Many wore costumes and played a variety of games for a chance to win candy, movies, decorated cakes, pop, goldfish, books and more. Prizes went quickly this year, with everyone showing up on the early side for a chance to win the best prizes. All proceeds benefited the Cub Scout program.
“Everybody looks forward to it,” long-time organizer Janice Shultz said.
Activities included decorating cookies, the cake walk, a fishing game, water coins, a golf ball toss, corn hole, ring pop and much more.
Costumes noted on the scene ranged from birthday presents, princesses, unicorns, bumblebees, the Statue of Liberty and chickens to Cleopatra, transformers and superheroes.
