CLARKSVILLE – Brock Guerrero had a game on the diamond for CAL that most baseball players dream of on Thursday, May 31.
The senior lead-off hitter and pitcher helped the Cadets improve to 4-1 overall and in the Iowa Star Conference with a 10-strikeout performance on the mound, four-hit day at the plate, driving in three RBI and two stolen bases as CAL won 9-6 against Clarksville.
But what could be considered one of his most impressive feats of the day was borrowing a move from Chicago Cubs' pitcher Jon Lester when he found he couldn’t extricate the ball from his glove: he threw glove and all to first baseman Nick Turner for the out against a hustling Chris Behrends in the second inning.
