Perrin Park was filled with people on June 16-17 as locals and residents from surrounding towns flocked to Greene to celebrate Greene River Days.
The parade on Saturday was a hit, featuring firetrucks and businesses from surrounding towns throughout Butler County—and plenty of candy for everyone.
A Butler County Sherriff squad car led the way, followed by the color guard. The North Butler High School Band was out in strength, playing Mama Mia, You Give Love a Bad Name and Push It.
The Hartwig Family were the Grand Marshalls. Other name to note in the parade was Gertie Marsh, the senior resident of Greene at 101 years old.  Sam and Charmayne Sneed, the longest married couple in Greene at 70 years and 9 months, rode in a golf cart.
