Graven repeats all-state honor

DES MOINES – Taylor Graven of North Butler returned to the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association Class 1A all-state first team, announced late last week.
The junior pitcher who broke the Bearcat school record for strikeouts in a season (283) was among 23 on the Class 1A first team, including several who made an appearance at the state tournament.
Graven compiled a 22-3 overall record and an ERA of 0.96 in 160 innings pitched.
