ALLISON – This Butler County rivalry developed a whole new aspect knowing that some of these baseball players will become teammates in the fall.
North Butler defeated Clarksville 10-0 in five innings, but Bearcat head baseball and football coach Travis Miller found it hard not to cheer on his future players.
“Honestly, it was kind of hard not to cheer for them at times,” coach Miller said. “When Pacen Hendricks had a nice double down the left field line and made a great play at shortstop and got our guy out on a close play, you kind of want to go, ‘good job,’ you know. And Isaac Baker, he’s a young eighth-grader, he does a really nice job for them, too. You want to tell them, ‘nice job.’"
