Franklin County Arts Council to host sixth annual benefit concert

The Franklin County Arts Council will be holding its sixth annual benefit concert on Saturday, March 4, at 7 p.m., at Faith Baptist Church, Hampton.
Performances on the night will be given by singers Cassandra Douglas and Brian Major. Douglas, a native of New York, is a soprano and earned her master’s in music at the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed with Opera Collective, Brooklyn on Tap, and other venues in the North East.
Major earned a master’s degree and performance certificate from Boston University. He has won several awards including first prize Opera Ebony Vocal Competition, third prize Annapolis Opera Vocal Competition and first prize Harlem Opera Theater Vocal Competition, to name a few.
