Forum: Teacher Leadership funds should be in addition to ‘supplemental’ aid, not to supplant it

  Whether Teacher Leadership funds were supposed to be an either-or or in addition to supplemental state aid was the second of three main topics discussed during the North Butler Legislative Forum on Education Nov. 9 at the North Butler Elementary Auditorium in Allison.
  Legislators and state education offi cials from around the state gathered for the conversation with the North Butler School Board and administration. The discussion also addressed a controversial third grade speedreading measure (please see Nov. 19 issue), and the statewide penny sales tax (slated for an upcoming issue).
