Focus shifts to staff salaries at second community meeting

Cutting staff salaries seemed to be the consensus to solving North Butler’s budget woes Monday.

In the board of education’s second community meeting, Greene and Allison community members joined together at North Butler Middle School auditorium.

With a -$213,000 budget spending authority after fiscal year 2013, the district is preparing for a Corrective Action Plan on Nov. 14. With the schools’ viability on the line, the state has the option to shut the district down after going two years in the red.
