Faces at Clarksville: Meet science teacher Dan Kuchera

Dan Kuchera’s theme for his first year of teaching at Clarksville high school was for students not just to do book work, but to build things.
     Freshmen built little rockets and launched them. To study physics, Kuchera’s class went to Adventure Land, equipped with sensors to measure pressure, centrifugal force and other factors. 
     Another project this year was taking apart a refrigerator and naming the various parts.
     “When I was a really young kid I got a chance to shadow. The sixth graders would go in and help the second graders. That was a lot of fun,” Kuchera said.
