“The pain that you have been feeling cannot compare to the joy that is coming,” a note written by a student in PE Teacher Ross Timmermans’ office reads.
This coming school year, Timmermans will be serving with Ashten Henningsen as co-athletic director.
In his second year at Clarksville, Timmermans teaches an 8th grade life-skills class, freshman health, and 9th to 12th grade PE. He also teaches a lifting class.
Timmermans graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg high school. He attended Coe College for a year, transferred to Kirkwood for a year, and then earned his bachelor’s degree in fitness management after two more years at Wartburg. While in school, he played college basketball.
