Faces at Clarksville: Meet Amy Barnett

Clarksville Elementary Associate Amy Barnett believes school should be something kids enjoy and look forward to.
     “They’re getting so much more out of it if they’re having fun. They’re not as apt to complain when it doesn’t seem like work,” Barnett said. “When they’re having fun, it doesn’t seem as stressful, yet they’re getting more out of it than they probably realize.”
     As an associate, Barnett starts each day assisting a student and helping any students who need an extra hand in the fourth-grade classroom. In the afternoon, she assists in the first-grade classroom with whatever tasks students need help with. She helps students stay focused.
     Barnett enjoys listening to the kids.
