Dumont native publishes book

Karen Berryman recently published her 12th book, “America-Looking Back: Through the Life of the Craig Family” under the pseudonym McKayla St. John.
     The book tells the story of the fictional Craig family, who lived in the early 1900s on a farm in rural America and rose through tragedy and challenges to adopt and raise four children.
     “The way America is going, we need to be reminded of how we really were as a family and as a unit,” Berryman said.
     She filled the book with adventures and tried to make the book come alive with excitement and entertainment, while emphasizing the values of persistence and the will to work through problems and never give up.
