Door manufacturer to expand, create jobs in Clarksville; City OKs in-kind match of easement

CLARKSVILLE — City Council on Monday, July 6 approved a building permit for VTI Architectural Products Inc., 302 S. Traer St., which said it would create 16 full-time jobs with health benefits.
  The company has Creative Composites, Clarksville, at that address, which manufactures door cores for commercial buildings and sells them to companies that add the veneers, General Manager Ralph Scheidecker said.
  Plans are for a 30,000 square-foot addition. The expansion will triple the size of current 15,000 square-foot facility. The property is already zoned for light manufacturing.
