Last week’s house fire in rural NW Clarksville left a family in despair.

Three residents residing at D.W. Huisman’s home could only salvage the clothes on their backs in the blaze that took their dwelling place last Monday (Jan. 6).

Good friends with Huisman’s girlfriend, Melanie Boggie, Tiffany Clark felt obligated to help the family in some way. Posting a comment online to accept donations for them, she had people dropping off clothes and other materials at her house the same day of the fire.

“I’ve taken three loads out there,” Clark said last week. “One load was in a van, and for the bigger loads, I used the pickup…I knew they would get some donations, but not nearly as much as we have.”
