Cremation trend may be reflected in cemetery

CLARKSVILLE — A trend of cremations is reflected in Clarksville. Monday, Maintenance Superintendent Matt Kampman proposed a special cremation area for the cemetery.
"The (cremation) trend toward the latter part of this year is … probably more than we've had in the last five years put together," City Clerk Larry Betts said.
Councilman Val Swinton, a pastor, said in the last year he had done many funerals with cremation.
