Cremation after-hours fee set, camera policy OK’d, and more

Clarksville City Council had a busy night on Monday, June 20, starting the funding process for an ambulance shed project, adjusting some cemetery fees and passing a resolution for security cameras.
AMENDING CHARGES at Lynwood Cemetery, Resolution No. 16- 603, carried. Charges were amended for opening and closing costs for infant burials or cremations to clarify that the after-hours fee of $350 be incurred after 4 p.m. weekdays, in addition to when it already occurs, on weekends and holidays. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, these cost $250.
Also, opening and closing for a cremation will require a 48-hour advance notice. Service times shall be at most one hour, unless prior arrangements are made.
