Council amends ordinance for dangerous animals

Whitney Ragsdale thanked the council members walking out of the meeting Monday night.
They had just amended an ordinance that had banned the specific breed of pit bull, and approved her request for a service animal exception in the dangerous animal ordinance.
City attorney Luke Guthrie said federal law might allow for this exception, as Ragsdale qualifies under the American Disabilities Act due to her part pit bull helping with her depression.
