Concession stand opens in Bristow

Have you ever wished you could enjoy a delicious ice cream cone on a hot summer day in Bristow?  You can now at the new concession stand that opened Memorial Day weekend at Bristow Memorial Park.
     Soft-serve chocolate, vanilla and twist cones aren’t the only items on the menu. There are also strawberry, raspberry, chocolate, vanilla and caramel malts and sundaes, and homemade hot fudge sundaes as well as candy, pop and water. Hot dogs will be added to the menu soon.
     So far, the concession stand has been a hit. With the warm weather, sometimes there are as many as 40 kids at the splash pad at one time. And they’ve been eating a lot of ice cream.
     “There haven’t been so many people in Bristow for a long time,” said Diane Buss of the Bristow Betterment Committee.
