The Community Closet in the back of The Corner youth center on Main Street in Allison is in its third year. More donations of used clothing are sought, and local residents are encouraged to stop by to find what they need.
The closet accepts gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothes of all sizes, and offers them free to anyone who may like them. Non-clothing items, accessories, belts, underwear and socks are not accepted.
“Now going into fall we could use children’s coats,” said Barbara DeBoer.
She noted that clothing is particularly needed for junior high-age children.
