There’s a new face at the Butler County Engineer’s office, Assistant Engineer Landon Cleary, an A-P graduate and former intern at the engineer’s office who decided it was time to move back home to Butler County.
Cleary grew up in Parkersburg. After graduating from high school, he majored in civil engineering at Iowa State. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in May 2017, and soon started working at BioClean in Maple Grove, Minnesota as a storm water engineer.
In his position as assistant Butler County engineer, Cleary now works designing projects, inspecting current construction and doing survey work for projects. He took on the new job April 18.
On a typical morning, Cleary starts by meeting with fellow Assistant Engineer Dave Scanlan and Engineer John Riherd to gear up for the day. He spends the rest of the day in the field staking out projects and in the office designing.
