CLARKSVILLE — The Police Department has received terms of nuisance abatement from a resident, and the city is pondering how best to offer a citywide spring cleanup collection service.
The city will accept nuisance abatement terms from Yvonne Rambo in the 400 block of E. Poisal but needs a reasonable deadline date set, Officer Barry Mackey said Monday.
The issue has been tied up in court for some time, and the City Council is eager to get the property cleaned up, Councilman Jeff Kolb said.
A proposed spring cleanup would allow residents to dispose of large items. The recent change to a new garbage collection contractor is allowing the city to consider providing this opportunity.
