Clarksville welcomes math teacher Ryan Gebel

There’s a new middle school math teacher in Clarksville, Ryan Gebel, and he comes to town with a passion for education and sports.
     “I want it to be a successful and fun year, so students learn a lot of math and are impacted in a positive way,” Gebel said.
     Originally from Denver, Iowa, Gebel started college as an accounting major, but went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in math education from UNI. Switching majors, he said, was the best decision he ever made.
     Gebel’s dad is a principal, and his mom works at a college, so careers in education run in the family.
