Clarksville seeing success after bringing back cross country teams

WAVERLY – Two races into the 2016 cross country season and Clarksville freshman Kori Wedeking already has two medals to show for her efforts.
The week before last in her first race, Wedeking won the freshman-sophomore division at Charles City. Wedeking would have placed fifth in the junior-senior division based on her time.
Last week, she took on 2A, 3A and 4A schools in the grade division races held on the Wartburg College campus and finished fourth.
She, among her teammates, who are all freshmen and sophomores helped restore the Indians’ cross country program.
