During Pioneer Days festivities Thursday evening, Danielle Ison was crowned Miss Clarksville 2018. Bennett Hoodjer was crowned Little Mr. Clarksville, and Little Miss Clarksville is Reagan Wedeking.
Little Mr. and Little Miss candidates were introduced by Wes Smith of Iowa State Bank to kick off the evening, and then Carissa Schellhorn and Katie Wedeking introduced the queen candidates.
Bethany Negen, shared her experience of serving as Miss Clarksville for the past year. After representing the town during last year’s Pioneer Days, Negen finished as second-runner up Butler County Fair queen. She was involved in library programs throughout the year, and during the holidays, she was Santa’s helper.
“Prior to receiving Miss Clarksville in 2017, I always thought that I knew most of the people from our small town, but it turns out I was wrong, as I have met so many new people, and I am grateful to have gotten to know and recognize so many more members of our community…” Negen said. “While I wish that I could do it all again, I couldn’t be more honored to stand up here tonight and crown the next Miss Clarksville.”
