CLARKSVILLE – Recently, first-year Clarksville coach Erin Norton made some changes to her infield.

It has worked in the form of a two-game win streak entering Class 1A Region play and it may have helped as the Indians posted a 10-0, five-inning victory against Tripoli in the first round game at home on Monday, July 7.

The only player remaining at the same spot in the infield was third baseman Belle Vance.

“The last couple of games we’ve had Makayla Holub at shortstop and Brittney Litterer at one and Bridget at second,” Norton said. “Litterer’s really strong at first base and is pretty good for the most part at digging balls and Holub has really stepped up in the position, she has a real quick release on the ball, so she is definitely a good asset to have there.”
