GRUNDY CENTER – Two of Clarksville’s three state-qualifying girls track & field had to wait an extra 24 hours to find out if they had made the Class 1A state field in Des Moines this week.
When a pair of Class 1A district meets postponed due to weather and field conditions, those who ran wouldn’t find out for sure if they had qualified unless they won their respective event.
One of the Indians teams didn’t have to wait, however, as the 4x100 relay team of Hannah Faust, Jadyn Maiers, Rachael Sundet and Morgan Thompson won at Grundy Center on Thursday, May 14 in 54.52 seconds.
