NASHUA – This one is going to hurt for a while.
Clarksville’s boys basketball team trailed only three times in this Class 1A District 5 basketball opener: once in the first quarter, again with 31 seconds left and then when it mattered most: at the last second when Nashua-Plainfield’s Isaac Chambers drove right baseline to scoop in a shot that went down and, even though it was poked back out, it counted.
The result was a 42-40 loss for the Indians on Monday, Feb. 13, ending the season for coach Ross Timmermans’ team, which finished 3-19 overall.T
The entire story appears in the Feb. 23 print edition of the Clarksville Star.
