City Hall: Restore or Rebuild?

Only a few weeks ago the Clarksville council would never have dreamed they’d be facing the challenges they face today in the aftermath of the arson at city hall. But they’re prepared for the task.
     The big question they must decide is the fate of city hall. Can it be saved?
     “Prior to the fire, I loved city hall. I still love it,” said Councilman Jeff Kolb.
     Monday’s council meeting was filled with pros and cons. Most important among the factors in favor was preservation of the historic streetscape. But government regulations make that a difficult proposition.
