Council members Monday brought up the topic of leaf removal for 2014.

Due to a $1,120 fee to cleanup the pile of leaves, Mayor Scot Henrichs explained that trash and miscellaneous items were being deposited with leaves at the leaf drop off site.

“There was everything from safes, laboratories, sinks, [etc.],” Henrichs said. “He [man hired to clean up pile] spent 10 hours by himself – sorting it, loading it and hauling it.”

“You can’t believe the stuff we take out of there,” said Maintenance Superintendent Allan Brockway.

"I had no idea this this was going," said Council member Jerry Platter.
