CLARKSVILLE — Clarksville City Council heard about video from the police chief and a specific cremation plot area from the maintenance superintendent [Monday].
Police Chief Dan Cummings shared a quote for equipping its two vehicles with video recorders that can be played on Windows and that he said would work well "if/when we go to body cams." ProVision quoted $2,693, per unit for the two police vehicles. The council approved the bid on a 5-0 vote on a motion [made and seconded] by councilmen Jeff Kolb and [...] Val Swinton.
In April, [Cummings] told the council the department was having trouble with the 10-year-old video system in the vehicles and was looking to upgrade it.
