The countdown till the Butler County Fair has started! Last year, long lines waited for admittance, and it’s likely this year will be no different with two evenings filled with country music. Friday evening will open with Natalie Stovall’s fiddle act, which was featured on The Voice. The main act of the evening will be a performance by country star William Michael Morgan. Old style country will be on stage Saturday night: Little Texas opening for Lonestar.
The fair will kick off with a pre-fair parade on Tuesday. The 2018 Fair Queen will be crowned in the grandstand as usual on Wednesday. Figure Eight races will follow the coronation on Wednesday night this year, followed by the Night of Destruction on Thursday. Chuck wagon races will be at noon on Sunday. The fair will culminate with Scrambles Sunday evening.
“We’re excited for the changes we have this year. I feel it’s always good to change things up once in a while, and like always, we’re hoping for good weather, and good attendance,” said Fair Board President Sue Ebensburger.
Bruno’s Tigers will also be returning to the fair in 2018. Bruno presented his educational performance with tigers in 2016.
