Butler’s Honored Survivor shares story

As I sit here and write this, it seems like just yesterday. 

I can remember my birthday. I was so full of emotion and sadness, like I was reliving it from last year. 

My story begins in February 2013. 

I noticed my left breast was getting bigger than the right. I figured it was nothing, and a common occurrence for women. But, I’ll never forget the day my son came home from school and mentioned a teacher being diagnosed with breast cancer and needing surgery.
